Since we have lived in Washington DC for the last ten years, we never miss out on seeing the cherry blossoms. Even before we moved here, we visited the area many times. Today we drove over to East Potomac Park to catch a glimpse of the blossoms before the freezing winter weather threatens the whole lot of them this week!

A lot of my digital art work has been inspired by the season and the city. I also have a trio of paintings that represent the Persian New Year Nowruz. I was reminded of that when a customer so kindly reminded me of them by purchasing one of the downloadable images.

This image represents a haftsin displayed at the Library of Congress Middle Eastern Section. I worked at the Library for ten years.

So, in keeping with the season I wish you all a very happy Easter and Nowruz!
